Hypoint in Gateshead, the first Hoults Yard hub, provides private offices, studios, industrial units, and a hireable meeting room. Role Description
The Cleaning Operative role is an on-site position based at Hypoint in Gateshead, 15 hours Monday - Friday, 7am - 10am. Start date 27th July 2026.

The role involves carrying out daily cleaning tasks across offices, communal areas, meeting rooms, restrooms, and shared spaces to maintain a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all users. Duties may include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, waste removal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness standards are consistently met. The Cleaning Operative will be expected to follow health and safety procedures, use cleaning equipment and products correctly, and report any maintenance or hygiene issues promptly. The role also requires working collaboratively with the site management team and responding to occasional ad hoc cleaning requests.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial cleaning skills, including experience in office or workplace cleaning.
- Ability to perform detailed home or house cleaning tasks when required.
- Competence in window cleaning and related hygiene standards.
- Experience with carpet care, including vacuuming and spot cleaning.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management skills and ability to follow cleaning schedules and checklists.
- Previous experience in a facilities, commercial, or hospitality cleaning environment is beneficial.
