About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a CATEGORY B & Adult Male prison.

As a Cleaning Operative, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues, from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners and Administrators, and others – all dedicated to making a positive difference in providing a safe and secure environment for all.

Minimum Requirements
We are a Ministry of Justice business and seek a Cleaning Operative with:
- Experience of working within a cleaning environment
- Knowledge of COSHH
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
- Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills

Future Notice
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. A successful procurement process is expected to result in services transferring to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
