What’s the role?
You will be a Relief Cleaning Operative within the Lewisham Cleaning Service. You will work with a team of three cleaning operatives covering corporate buildings, parks, children centres and other council related buildings. You will need a driver's licence and must be able to physically carry out tasks listed within the job description.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a relief cleaning operative who will join a team of two. You will be flexible and able to travel across the Lewisham Borough. You will work closely with three cleaning supervisors, janitors and cleaning operatives. The cleaning service operates from 06:00 to 20:00. You will work as part of a rota covering 06:00 - 14:00, 09:00 - 17:00, 12:00 - 20:00
You must be:
- A hard worker
- A good communicator with good organisation skills
- A flexible worker who is able to work as part of a rota
- Able to drive around the borough, sometimes at short notice
- Able to have an eye for detail
- Able to work cohesively as part of a team or independently
- An excellent timekeeper
Location
Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RY is your primary base but you will be flexible and are required to attend buildings across the Lewisham borough.
Special conditions
- The job is subject to having rights to work documentation (i.e. Passport)
- To be able to work flexibly and with very short notice
- Able to carry out all tasks highlighted in the job description
- This role is subject to a DBS check

Salary
£31,086-£31,530 per annum (Scale 3)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
