Role Description

The Cleaning Supervisor role is a full-time, remote position responsible for overseeing commercial cleaning operations and ensuring agreed standards are consistently met.

  • Planning and coordinating daily cleaning schedules
  • Supervising and supporting cleaning teams
  • Monitoring the quality of work through regular inspections and feedback
  • Communicating with clients to understand requirements, adjust work plans, and respond to queries or issues promptly
  • Maintaining health and safety compliance, reporting incidents, and managing cleaning materials and equipment
  • Keeping accurate records of work completed

The role requires proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with on-site staff and management.

Qualifications

  • Supervisory Skills: Team leadership, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
  • Commercial Cleaning Experience: Knowledge of industrial and daily cleaning practices, materials, and equipment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Health & Safety Awareness: Safe working practices, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience: Commercial or facilities management, basic IT skills for remote coordination and reporting, and a valid driver’s license if occasional site visits are required.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple sites or teams remotely.
  • Background: Beneficial to have a background in cleaning supervision or a similar role, and relevant vocational qualifications or certifications in cleaning or health and safety.
