Job Description

Job Role: Cleaning Supervisor

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 7:30pm (22.5 hours per week)

Pay: £14.45 per hour

Location: Princes Parade, Liverpool Docks, Liverpool

Reporting to: Associate Key Accounts Director


Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our established cleaning team based at Princes Parade, Liverpool Docks.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, where the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of 11 cleaners across three buildings, while also carrying out cleaning duties to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the site.

You will be responsible for ensuring cleaning operations run smoothly, supervising and supporting the team, conducting quality inspections, and maintaining excellent standards of service delivery. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience within a cleaning or facilities environment, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing people and maintaining standards.

Duties Include

  • Supervise, support and motivate a team of 11 cleaners across three buildings.
  • Carry out cleaning duties alongside the cleaning team to maintain high site standards.
  • Allocate daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure all cleaning schedules are completed effectively.
  • Organise staff rotas and arrange cover for sickness, holidays and other absences where required.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure cleaning standards are consistently achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, COSHH regulations and company procedures.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to team members.
  • Monitor cleaning equipment and consumable stock levels, reporting any issues to management.
  • Liaise with site management and respond promptly to any cleaning-related requests or concerns.
  • Complete relevant paperwork, reports and records accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support management with any additional duties in line with operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a cleaning, facilities or soft services environment.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader or senior cleaning role.
  • Strong understanding of cleaning methods, standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and COSHH requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to motivate, support and develop a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across several buildings.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering exceptional standards.
