Location: Portlethen Academy, Bruntland Road, Aberdeen, AB12 4QL
Working hours: Monday to Thursday 10:00-18:00 - Friday 14:00-22:00 - 37.5 Hours
Contract: Permanent - Full Time

Your new role
What you’ll do:
- Maintain and supervise the performance of cleaning staff in line with contractual KPI’s. This will include training and arrangements of duty rotas and cover arrangements
- Liaise with the Facilities Manager to help provide cover for overtime, annual leave, absence etc and complete relevant staff spreadsheets
- Allocation of work and quality control, check work schedules and resolve problems. Assist in the compliance with the site waste management procedures
- Ensure that RFM procedures and practices are adhered to i.e. Health & Safety and COSHH
- Ensure that the cleanliness of the site is maintained to the required standards liaising with the Facilities Manager on completion of quality audits
- Check all equipment is clean in good working order reporting any faults to the Facilities Manager
- Ensure safe working methods and report all accidents and incidents as appropriate
- Ensure efficient stock control, usage of materials and complete stock spreadsheets
- Respond to any helpdesk calls efficiently and on time as may be directed from time to time by the Facilities Manager
- Any other duties assigned by the Facilities Manager in conjunction with RFMs operational requirements
- Work with other members of the RFM team in the best interests of the company
- Maintain an awareness of RFM’s policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the administration and helpdesk service
- To carry out any other office duties assigned by the Management Team as the role evolves.
- To be responsible for weekly team talks, distribution of tool box talks and other management updates

About you:
- General cleaning experience
- Previous supervisory experience desirable but not essential
- Experience working within facilities management is desirable
- Experience of Microsoft Packages would be advantageous
- Able to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly
- Knowledge of Health & Safety best practises
- Awareness of COSHH regulations
- Takes initiative and works reliably
- Candidates need a good working level of spoken and written English to carry out cleaning duties safely and to communicate with clients and the management team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.
