Cleaning Supervisor – Contract Role
About the Role
Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday: 5am – 11am
- Saturday: 5am – 9am
At OCS, our cleaners play a vital role in creating safe, clean environments for our customers in their workspaces. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will ensure cleaning staff perform their duties efficiently, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe and hygienic workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist with cleaning all areas within the cleaning specification (plus any additional ad hoc tasks as required).
- Manage a small cleaning team, including:
- Rotas and holiday planning
- Absence management within budgetary constraints
- Performance management to maintain a consistently high standard of cleaning
- Provide coaching and training, including health & safety, for all cleaning operatives, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
- Conduct weekly cleaning audits and escalate any concerns for support.
- Hold weekly team meetings and briefing sessions to ensure clear and consistent communication.
- Manage stock and consumables, including ordering, updating the stock management system, and distributing supplies to cleaning stores.
- Act as a customer liaison point, providing assistance and communication at all levels.
- Plan and coordinate deep cleaning works as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
- Previous experience as a supervisor (preferably in a cleaning or facilities management environment).
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in using systems and Microsoft Office.
- Desire to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise tasks, and adapt to flexible working hours and shifts.
- Attention to detail is essential.
