The Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council is recruiting a Cleaning Supervisor to perform cleaning duties at Grove House.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of cleaners, ensuring all work areas meet the required cleaning standards
- Carry out exclusive cleaning duties including:
- General cleaning (damp wiping, surface cleaning)
- Toilet cleaning and decontamination
- Operation of cleaning equipment (e.g., scrubber dryers, carpet cleaners)
- Damp mapping where necessary
- Train and support new staff, conduct induction sessions, and assess team performance
- Conduct internal audits to assess cleanliness standards
- Perform basic administrative duties, including:
- Reporting holidays and sickness
- Acting as the first point of contact for both clients and Area Coordinators
Requirements
- Experience in cleaning supervision or a similar role is desirable but not mandatory
- Willingness to provide DBS enhanced clearance (mandatory for this position)
- Ability to guarantee regular attendance Monday - Friday (11:00 - 15:00)
- Some weekend work may occasionally be required
- Access to personal transport or alternative arrangements for commuting to Grove House, Adlington (PR6 9RH)
