Role Description
The Cleaning Supervisor role at NIC Local is a part-time, on-site position based in Durham. The Cleaning Supervisor oversees daily commercial cleaning operations, ensuring all assigned areas meet company standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities
- Assigning tasks to cleaning staff
- Monitoring work quality
- Providing guidance and support to the team
- Checking supplies and equipment
- Reporting maintenance needs
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures
- Communicating regularly with clients and management
- Addressing service issues
- Helping improve processes to maintain consistent, high-quality cleaning results
Qualifications
- Strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, task delegation, and performance monitoring
- Practical experience in Commercial Cleaning, with knowledge of professional cleaning methods, products, and equipment
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication with staff and clients
- Solid Interpersonal Skills to build positive working relationships and handle issues respectfully and constructively
- Sound Health & Safety awareness, including compliance with regulations, safe use of equipment, and risk identification

Additional Beneficial Qualifications
- Prior experience in facilities management or contract cleaning
- Basic IT skills for scheduling and reporting
- A valid driver’s license where required

- Perform light physical tasks as needed
