Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and organised Band 2 Clerical Officer to join our Child Health Team. The post holder will be an excellent communicator who is familiar with a full range of clerical tasks and be able to undertake specific duties when necessary. Experience of working in a busy office environment and a good standard of data inputting and IT skills are essential.

The role involves: dealing with Health Visitors, School Nurses and supporting all colleagues.

Main duties of the job

To provide clerical support to the Child Health Department. The role involves dealing with Health Visitors and support staff, creating new Child Health records, both electronically and manually, data inputting on the Child Health computer system, updating child health records, filing, photocopying and distribution and checking of letters. Responsible for the printing of the weekly child health reports download. Strict confidentiality will be maintained at all times.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
