Exciting Opportunity in Valley Outpatient Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT) and Respiratory Physiology Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the existing Valley Outpatient antibiotic therapy (OPAT) and Respiratory Physiology Team.

  • Role Overview: You will need to demonstrate your commitment to providing excellent communication and attention to detail, to enhance the experience of those patients linked to our services.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Health record administration
    • Data collection
    • Infection and control monitoring
    • Appointments
  • Required Skills and Qualities:

    • Positive and professional attitude
    • Confident IT literacy skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and non-verbal
  • Flexibility and Adaptability:

    • Adapt to unpredictable workloads
    • Flexible to fit the needs of the service
  • Training Requirements:

    • Complete the health care worker Induction programme
    • Specific aspects of TURAS as required by the service
  • Previous Experience:

    • Previous experience in a health care setting would be advantageous
    • Individuals with a keen interest and potential are welcomed
  • Employment Details:

    • Permanent and offered on a part-time basis over 5 days, which may be compressed to 4 days on discussion with service
    • Secondment opportunities considered

  • Agenda for Change Changes:

    • As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
