Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Services Co-ordinator within the Division of Medicine, based at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

The Clerical Services Coordinator will be responsible for the provision of operational and day to day management of clerical and administration services Medicine, working closely with the Site Specialty Managers.

Medicine is a fast paced and diverse Division, consisting of:

  • Gastroenterology (including the Endoscopy Unit)
  • Renal (Including the Renal Dialysis Ward)
  • Respiratory
  • Cardiology (Including the Cath Lab and ECG)
  • COTE
  • Rheumatology
  • Diabetes
  • Neurology
  • Medical Wards

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will provide day to day operational management of the administration and clerical staff within the Division.

The Clerical Services co-ordinator will support the Medicine Management Team in ensuring sound administrative processes are in place to support the Directorate clinical teams in achieving operational objectives in an efficient and effective way.

Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • Good standard of general / higher education (Certificate Level)
  • Evidence of continuous / ongoing learning
  • Degree level (Management) or equivalent experience

Desirable Criteria

  • Professional Management Qualification
  • Currently pursuing a qualification in NHS Management

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive experience of staff management
  • Previous experience of managing financial resources
  • Knowledge of waiting list management
  • Experience of handling complex/sensitive complaint or situations/ issues
  • Able to communicate with all levels of staff representatives and managers in a clear and confident manner
  • Sound knowledge of IT system
