Accounts Payable Clerk, Weybridge, UK (Hybrid Option)

About the Role

Join us as an Accounts Payable Clerk, ensuring our suppliers are paid accurately and on time while maintaining strong supplier partnerships. You’ll process 1,000–1,200 invoices weekly, collaboratively with a team of five. This role offers a hybrid option—Monday–Friday office-based, with 1 day per week remote dependent on business needs—at our Weybridge office.

You’ll play a critical role by: MAKING CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY...

  • Processing supplier invoices through OCR systems and resolving recognition issues.
  • Managing supplier portfolios with three-way matching in our ERP system.
  • Collaborating with Procurement to resolve invoice discrepancies and minimise holds.
  • Ensuring timely payments aligned with payment term agreements.
  • Routing non-PO invoices for coding and approval.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
  • Handling supplier queries professionally, including phone calls.
  • Posting invoices for direct debit clearance monthly.
  • Supporting payment runs, month-end activities, and team coverage during absences.

You are best suited for this role if you possess:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Expertise in Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes and three-way matching within ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with an interest in developing AI-enabled tools like Microsoft Copilot.
  • The ability to stay highly organised, detail-focused, and prioritised.
  • Ownership of tasks while contributing to a positive team dynamic.
  • Experience working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to build strong relationships.
