About The Role

MTVH are looking for a Clerk of Works to provide a high-quality inspection and quality control service across our development projects. Working within the Construction team, you will play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will carry out site inspections, monitor construction progress, and provide technical support to Development teams, helping to ensure that completed homes meet MTVH standards and all regulatory requirements.

Therefore, as part of the team, you will work closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle. You will attend site meetings, identify and report quality issues, support defect management, and act as MTVH’s representative during inspections, handovers, and remedial works, ensuring excellent outcomes for our customers and developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out regular quality inspections of construction works to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor site quality, identify issues, and provide detailed reports and recommendations to project teams.
  • Represent MTVH at snagging, de-snagging, handover, and defects inspections.
  • Inspect post-contract defects and coordinate remedial actions where required.
  • Develop strong working relationships with contractors and external partners to support project delivery and resolve issues effectively.

  • A qualification in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or Project Management.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, such as MICWCI or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality standards, Building Regulations, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and assess compliance throughout the construction process.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
