Job details CHPK Group has an opportunity for a Clerk of Works with a MRICS or MICWCI Qualification to join its Project Management team team based in London on a permanent basis.

As a Clerk of Works, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality and progress of construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulations, and company standards. The role will be predominantly around facades and façade remediation projects, though you may be expected to undertake roles within other projects, dependant on the business needs.

What you will do You will have the chance to work across a variety of projects and be responsible for the delivery of a range of outputs including: Conducting regular inspections and monitoring construction projects to ensure adherence to specifications, drawings, and regulations Verifying that construction work is carried out in accordance with agreed schedules, quality standards, and best practices. Identifying and reporting any discrepancies, defects, or deviations from specifications promptly to the relevant parties for rectification. Reviewing and evaluating contractor's workmanship, materials, and construction methods to ensure compliance with project requirements. Assisting in the resolution of technical issues by providing advice and guidance to contractors, subcontractors, and project teams. Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to address concerns and provide updates on project progress. Preparing accurate and detailed reports documenting site inspections, observations, and recommendations. Collaborating with the Company Director to develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and processes. Staying updated with relevant legislation, building codes, and industry best practices, and ensure their incorporation into project activities. Contributing to the continuous improvement of construction practices, methodologies, and safety standards within the organisation. Who you are We’re seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to join our team. You will be reporting directly to the Building Consultancy Director, this role requires someone with a communicative, confident and proactive approach.

You’ll bring: Proven experience working as a Clerk of Works Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and regulations in the UK. Excellent understanding of building codes, health and safety guidelines, and quality standards. Technical expertise and the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work. Ability to work independently and make decisions based on professional judgement. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Proficient in using digital tools and software for documenting inspections and generating reports.
