Job Details

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Salary: NJC 12-22 – £25,598 - £33,699 (pro rata: £2,644 - £3,115)
  • Contract Type: Term-time only, 4 hours per week (Flexible working hours)

About the Role

Provide confidential, personal and administrative support to the Governing Body in a pivotal role at Streetly Academy.

You will work closely alongside the Headteacher and Chair of Governors, ensuring smooth and efficient management of the Governing Body’s ever-evolving workload.

The Academy emphasises a balance between tradition and modernity, upholding high standards of behaviour and appearance while embracing technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment. As a sport specialism academy, we ensure all students receive opportunities for development through PE, sport, and the arts, aligned with our PRIDE values (inspired by Olympic and Paralympic ideals).

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organisation of Governing Body meetings
  • Record accurate minutes of meetings
  • Advise on changes in legislation and policy
  • Provide confidential administrative support to Governors
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with minimal errors
  • Self-manage duties collaboratively as part of a wider team

Person Specification

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Strong administrative and IT skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities
  • Independence, initiative, and sound judgement
  • Ability to work flexibly, including at evening meetings (approx. 15 per year)
  • Confidentiality essential in handling sensitive materials
