Client Account Manager - Water

Job Description Full‑time Field & Home‑based Nationwide Travel Required Adler & Allan is expanding, and we’re looking for a proactive Client Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of key strategic accounts. If you’re commercially minded, customer‑focused and thrive on building long‑term relationships, this role offers the chance to directly influence sector growth and shape the future of our client partnerships. About the role You’ll be responsible for driving growth within a defined set of key accounts—developing tailored account plans, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring every client receives exceptional service. Working closely with Sector Managers, Regional Account Managers and Operational Teams, you’ll bring together commercial insight and operational delivery to strengthen relationships and expand our footprint across each account. This is a hands‑on, strategic role where you’ll act as the primary day‑to‑day commercial contact, lead customer review meetings, support renewals and negotiations, and ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management. What you’ll be doing Managing a portfolio of key accounts to achieve revenue, margin and growth targets Developing account plans aligned to sector strategy and identifying opportunities and risks Building strong relationships with customer stakeholders across multiple functions Acting as the main commercial contact for allocated clients Creating and maintaining a healthy pipeline with accurate forecasting Leading regular customer review meetings and ensuring agreed actions are delivered Working with operational teams to ensure service quality and contract compliance Supporting renewals, variations and commercial negotiations Ensuring pricing accuracy, commercial compliance and correct invoicing Managing aged debt and resolving billing queries Feeding account insights into sector development plans Contributing to tender responses and proposals Work & contract winning Qualifications What you’ll bring Experience in account management or client‑facing commercial roles in B2B services Strong relationship‑building and communication skills Ability to identify opportunities and translate customer needs into solutions Solid commercial understanding, including pricing and contract fundamentals Excellent planning and organisational skills A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with strong ownership and accountability Ability to collaborate effectively across teams Confident communicator comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Clean UK driving licence and Right to Work in the UK Willingness to undergo a Criminal Record Check Additional Information Adler and Allan are committed to fostering diversity and inclusion in our workplace.
