Our Client

Our client is a well-established property management business, delivering expert property and facilities management services across a diverse property portfolio. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their collaborative finance team based in Pimlico.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Client Accountant or Property Accountant looking to join a reputable organisation where they can further develop their career within the property sector. Working closely with Property Managers and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in managing client finances, preparing service charge accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting across a varied portfolio.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of client properties.
  • Produce service charge accounts and year-end reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review service charge budgets and balancing charges.
  • Carry out bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Prepare quarterly client reporting packs and financial statements.
  • Process journals, accruals and prepayments where required.
  • Review lease information and ensure tenant charges are correctly applied.
  • Prepare VAT returns and support year-end audit requirements.
  • Liaise with Property Managers, clients, tenants and auditors to resolve financial queries.
  • Maintain accurate client account records using property accounting software.
  • Assist with process improvements and support the wider finance team when required.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience working as a Client Accountant, Property Accountant or within a similar property finance role.
  • Experience preparing service charge accounts and client reporting.
  • Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
  • Good understanding of accruals, prepayments and journals.
  • Experience preparing budgets and year-end accounts would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
  • Experience using MRI Qube, MRI Horizon, Yardi or similar property management software would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
