We're working with a leading and rapidly expanding provider of student accommodation who are seeking a Client Accountant to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a time of significant growth. Due to continued expansion of the portfolio and the acquisition of new assets, this is a newly created role that will play a key part in supporting the organisation's growing property portfolio. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop their finance and accounting career in a commercial and fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to a large portfolio of assets and working closely with both clients and senior stakeholders.
The Role
Responsibilities
You will play a key part in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and driving performance across a portfolio of student accommodation assets. Responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of properties from a finance perspective, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management packs, including full P&L forecasts, variance analysis and commentary
- Developing high-quality client reports and investment summaries to support decision-making
- Partnering with Operations and Commercial teams on annual budgets, strategy, and performance improvement
- Supporting audits, completing funding requests, and producing cashflow forecasts
- Working with site teams to provide financial support and guidance, ensuring processes run smoothly
- Assisting with onboarding and integration of new sites into the accounting system
- Producing financial models and analysis to aid strategic planning, including scenario analysis and forecasting
- Liaising with clients, senior managers and external stakeholders to respond to queries and provide insight

Person Profile / Experience
- Qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA (or equivalent), or demonstrable progress towards completion of a recognised professional accountancy qualification
- Proven analytical ability, with strong financial modelling experience
- Advanced Excel skills, including building models from scratch (P&L, scenario analysis, overhead reporting)
- Experience working with large data sets and producing accurate results under tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong team player, adaptable to changing requirements and confident working across multiple departments
- Previous experience within property, real estate, or multi-site operations would be advantageous but not essential
