Hours - Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working after probationary period
Holiday – 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

We're looking for an experienced CAS Senior Advisor to join our Stanley office.
As a CAS Senior Advisor, you will manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality management accounting, financial reporting and business advisory services. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will provide valuable financial insights to support business growth and decision-making, while overseeing junior team members and helping clients maximise the benefits of cloud accounting solutions. The role is primarily based at our Stanley office, with occasional working days from our Ferryhill office.
Key responsibilities of a CAS Senior Advisor will include:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Lead the preparation and review of management accounts, providing accurate reporting and actionable financial insights.
- Deliver variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning to support business performance and decision-making.
- Oversee client workflows and review work completed by Advisors and Apprentices, ensuring accuracy, quality and compliance.
- Lead the implementation, migration and optimisation of cloud-based accounting systems and processes.
- Build strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to add value and promote additional services where appropriate.
- Support resource planning, billing management and departmental projects to drive operational efficiency.
- Coach and develop junior team members, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards and internal procedures.
- Keep technical knowledge up to date through continuous professional development and industry awareness.

About You
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified by experience, with at least 5 years' accountancy experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, management accounting, financial analysis, VAT compliance, payroll and internal controls.
- Experienced in the implementation, optimisation and migration of cloud accounting software and digital finance solutions.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities, provide value-added advice and build trusted client relationships.
- Proven ability to analyse financial information, improve processes and support clients in making informed business decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, developing and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work closely with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Highly organised and accountable, with strong project management, decision-making and resource planning capabilities.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.
