Reporting to: Sales Team Lead
Location: Chelsea, London (Onsite)
About the Role
The Client Acquisition Associate is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within SMB and mid-market organisations. This role blends proactive outbound prospecting with consultative sales engagement to generate and progress qualified opportunities through discovery and proposal stages.
The role focuses on pipeline generation, opportunity development, and revenue contribution, with the ability to manage smaller opportunities independently and support larger ones alongside the Senior Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Identify and engage with prospective organisations that align with Conosco’s target customer profile.
- Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to initiate SMB and mid-market client conversations.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of early-stage opportunities through proactive prospecting.
Outbound Prospecting & Pipeline Creation
Drive consistent outbound engagement through:
- Cold calling
- Email outreach
- LinkedIn and social selling
- Networking and follow-ups from events or campaigns Secure discovery meetings with key decision-makers, including:
- IT leaders
- Finance stakeholders
- Senior executives
- Generate qualified opportunities for progression in the sales pipeline.
Discovery & Qualification
Conduct structured discovery conversations to understand client needs, including:
- Current IT infrastructure and support models
- Cybersecurity risks and compliance requirements
- Cloud strategy and digital transformation initiatives
- Business challenges impacting technology delivery
- Assess opportunity suitability for qualification before advancing in the sales process.

Develop a clear understanding of Conosco’s coreservices, including:
- Fully Managed IT Support
- Co-Managed IT Services
- Cybersecurity Solutions
- Cloud Services (Microsoft 365, Azure)
- Backup and business continuity
- Mobile comms Introduce these services to prospects, clearly communicating:
- Commercial value
- Operational benefits
Proposal Development & Sales Progression
- Collaborate with technical and pre-sales teams to develop tailored proposals and solution recommendations.
- Support proposal preparation and presentation of commercial options.
- Progress suitable opportunities through the sales process and close engagements as appropriate.
Collaboration & Team Engagement
Partner closely with:
- Marketing (campaign follow-ups, inbound leads)
- Technical teams (solution design support)
- Sales leadership (progression of larger opportunities) Ensure seamless handover of new clients to onboarding and service delivery teams upon agreement signatur
Pipeline Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and updated records in the CRM system.
- Track:
- Outreach activity
- Meetings booked
- Opportunities created
- Pipeline progression
- Provide regular pipeline updates and perform against targets.

Skills & Experience
Required:
- Experience in sales, client acquisition, business development or lead generation roles.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining CRM discipline.
- Highly organised with strong product knowledge.
Desirable:
- Proactive, energetic, results-oriented approach.
- Autonomy for pipeline creation, opportunity development, and closing deals.
Career Progression
As a Client Acquisition Associate, you will develop end-to-end accountability for pipeline generation, opportunity development, and closing deals from day one. Trusted to operate autonomously, engage senior stakeholders, and drive revenue, your growth includes:
