Job Purpose
This Client Services Manager (Client Administration) role sits within TPS Operations. You’ll:
- Lead and oversee Client Administration function
- Drive operational excellence & control strengthening
- Develop junior talent and cultivate data-driven Management Information (MI) for senior management decision-making

- Develop a high-performing team with shared ownership of results

Talent Development & Recruitment
- Lead TPS’s Junior Recruitment Programme (assessment, onboarding, training)
- Plan resource needs and recruit internal/external talent
- Set clear business objectives and align personnel expectations

One-to-One Management
- Set performance targets & coaching plans
- Allocate workload to optimise team efficiency
- Conduct formal & informal reviews + wellbeing check-ins

- Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution
- Manage grievances, absence & disciplinary processes
- Oversee holiday approvals + expense policy
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior leadership
Operational Oversight
Core Accountabilities:
Customer Responsibility
- Handle complex client queries independently
- Act as escalation owner for operational roadblocks
- Oversee reconciliations and accuracy of client assets
- Process management fees, US tax forms (W-8’s), ISAs, SIPPs, and GIAs
- Submit transaction reports and analyse rejections
- Manage incoming cash allocations and outstanding payment processing
Compliance & Service Delivery
- Maintain ISAs with compliance accuracy (returns, subscriptions)
- Process securities across asset types (equities, bonds, funds)
- Audit & safeguard the security universe
- Calculate client money interest monthly
- Present transparent operational metrics in monthly report meetings
Key Skills & Qualifications
Technical Knowledge

- Extensive management involvement:
- Recruitment, KPI setting, performance reviews & HR tools
- Investment operations & custodian experience preferred

✅ Regulatory & Technical
- Deep understanding of:
- Equity/Bond/Fund asset handling
- GIA/ISA/SIPP account structures
- ISA taxation & process requirements
- Former custody or asset manager experience
✅ Technology
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with investment platforms (Tercio, Crest, Nexen 5, Aegon) advantageous
