Client Adviser – Nottingham Office

The Role

The Client Adviser plays a vital role in delivering exceptional client service and supporting the Client Executive in day-to-day account management.

Your primary responsibility is to:

  • Serve clients effectively while upholding Partners&’s operational standards and values
  • Be the first point of contact for client administrators, brokers, and insurers
  • Collaborate as part of a client onboarding and servicing team, ensuring smooth brokerage processes from start to finish

Responsibilities

Client Support & Service

  • Work closely with the Client Executive to service client accounts efficiently
  • Apply insurance knowledge, including:
    • Standard policy wording
    • Extensions and limitations
    • Broking, claims, and underwriting processes (general understanding required)
  • Act as the point of reference for insurers, negotiating key terms where necessary
  • Ensure all interactions align with Partners&’s policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines

Operational & Administrative Tasks

  • Manipulate various distribution channels with confidence
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams
  • Manage end-to-end broking workflows, including:
    • Client onboarding
    • Renewals
    • Account maintenance
  • Accurately populate client applications and invoicing systems while maintaining data integrity
  • Identify opportunities to introduce additional helpful services/products to clients, then escalate these internally

Requirements

Certifications & Qualifications

  • Cert CII (Certified Insurance Institute) preferred, or actively working towards it

Experience & Skills

  • Exceptional communication, administrative, and decision-making skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of the insurance industry, with a focus on commercial insurance principles
  • Proficiency in organising workflows, prioritising tasks, and time management
  • Full confidence in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of broking operations and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FCA rules)
  • Familiarity (or prior use) of an *insurance brokerage system— experience with Acturis is an advantage
  • Comfortable raising and resolving concerns— with the wisdom to escalate issues appropriately when needed

Soft-Skill Competencies

  • Ability to collaborate and partner with colleagues to enhance client outcomes
  • Promote an inclusive culture and foster teamwork
  • Consider broader context when problem-solving, and remain adaptable
  • Model professional integrity consistently to build trust with all stakeholders
