Client Advisor – Education Practice

Client Advisor – Corporate (Education Practice)

Location: Haywards Heath (Hybrid role, 3-5 days a week in-office)


A meaningful opportunity to join Marsh’s Corporate Team as a Client Advisor within our Education practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial or corporate insurance and a desire to contribute to a leading global insurance brokerage.


About the Role

You will support Marsh Client Executives in managing insurance renewals and mid-term adjustments for corporate clients. With a focus on education insurance, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Client Executives and Placement Teams to finalise renewal placements and recommend strategies.
  • Underwriting analysis and request handling on behalf of corporate clients, ensuring risk assessments align with their needs.
  • Preparing and submitting market presentations and slips in consultation with the Placement Team and Client Executives.
  • Utilising Marsh’s online trading systems to negotiate renewals and mid-term terms with insurers.
  • Producing Insurer documentation, reviewing clauses, and providing reports for renewals.

Responsibilities

  • Renewals & Placement Support

    • Assist in developing risk placement strategies to meet corporate client objectives.
    • Manage mid-term programme changes and ensure seamless administrative support.
  • Underwriting & Documentation

    • Source and review underwriting information to assess client needs.
    • Prepare market armour, resumes and insurer documentation, ensuring accuracy.

  • Client Reporting & Reporting

    • Work with the Placement Team to produce detailed insurer reports for renewal processes.
    • Analyse Indemity and Insurance Clauses to ensure compliance and optimal coverage.
  • Collaborative Work

    • Partner with Marsh’s Client Executives and teams to deliver robust coverage solutions.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven experience supporting or managing mechanical renewals for corporate or commercial insurance clients.
  • Strong organisational skills to handle multiple deadlines and concurrent client inquiries.
  • Deep contextual understanding of client business models, their insurance programmes and service needs.
  • Proficient in using Marsh’s trading systems and insurance documentation standards.

Desired:

  • Experience in Education Insurance, given the role’s focus on the sector.
  • Previous client-facing insurance roles to demonstrate strong service delivery.
  • CII qualifications (Certificant preferred, ACII working towards desirable).
