Client Advisor - UK Funds Sales - Vice President
Our Client Advisor Role
Working in a team of senior sales colleagues, you will be responsible for the management of existing key relationships as well as driving new business opportunities with:
- Independent Financial Advisers (IFA)
- Wealth Managers (WM)
- Discretionary Fund Managers (DFM)
across the UK.
You will:
- Deepen relationships predominantly office-based over the phone
- Cultivate new business opportunities both office-based and across the UK in person
Key to Success
The ability to:
- Work effectively in a team with senior sales partners
- Operate in a consultative manner with clients
Job Responsibilities
- Work alongside a senior sales team to:
- Deepen and broaden new and existing relationships with IFAs and DFMs
- Collaborate on accounts with existing senior Client Advisors (CA) before taking the lead on accounts independently
- Maintain a high level of proactive and reactive activity with clients, predominantly virtually
- Utilise technology sales tools to:
- Identify opportunities
- Input and manage data on CRM effectively
- Plan and attend client meetings on an as-needed basis
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationships to enable:
- Excellent service and client proposals
- Adopt a consultative approach to:
- Help clients build stronger portfolios via:
- Market Insights
- Portfolio Insights programs
- Help clients build stronger portfolios via:
- Develop a thorough understanding of key investment strategies

Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
- Possess a strong understanding of financial markets and the ability to explain complex financial concepts in:
- Simple, repeatable terms
- Demonstrate:
- Teamwork
- Self-reliance
- Carry sales experience, with specific expertise in:
- Selling over the phone
- A proven track record of success in:
- Selling Investment Management/financial products
- Managing relationships
- Highly motivated, with flexibility to:
- Travel across the UK

- JPM events
- Third-party events
- Drive the best possible outcomes for the team
- Exhibition of:
- Multi-tasking skills
- High organisational abilities
- Ability to:
- Develop industry and product knowledge
- Potential to build relationships across:
- Entire organisation
- Partner firms
- Aptitude for resilience and:
- Working against targets within scorecards
- Strong knowledge of capital markets covering:
- A wide variety of asset classes and regions (e.g. Equity, Fixed Income, Alternatives, Emerging Markets)
- Possession of (or desire to attain):
- Investment Management Certificate (IMC)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Leverage of global resources with experience
- Leadership abilities, including:
