Lead with purpose. Manage and grow a high-performing team. Help Marsh be the leading risk advisor.
We’re looking for an inspiring people leader to elevate our Client Advisory capability in Bristol—someone who coaches with clarity, sets high standards, and turns client relationships into long-term partnerships. You’ll lead a team supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate clients, shaping how we deliver market-leading advice, service, and solutions, while playing a visible role in the office’s growth agenda.
Why this role matters
Our clients need more than insurance—they need a trusted advisor who can help them understand risk, make confident decisions, and build resilience. In this role, you’ll set the tone for how we show up: commercially sharp, deeply client-focused, and relentlessly committed to doing the right thing.
- Lead and develop a team where coaching, accountability, and progression are the norm.
- Influence strategy locally—partnering with leaders to drive growth, retention, and recruitment.
- Make a tangible impact for clients through insight-led risk advice and exceptional service.
What you’ll do (and how you’ll lead):
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Advisors—creating clarity on expectations, building capability, and recognizing great performance.
- Set the service standard: ensure proactive, consistent delivery and an effortless day-to-day client experience.
- Partner with Client Executives, brokers, and insurers to shape renewal and placement strategies—bringing insight, rigour, and strong market engagement.
- Contribute to the Bristol leadership agenda: supporting office strategy, growth, retention, and recruitment.
- Champion Marsh’s ambition to be the leading risk advisor by embedding best practice, governance, and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
