Job Introduction

As a Client Consultant, you are an essential part of a team that delivers the extraordinary to our customers. As a Retail team member and expert of all things Selfridges, you will be fully knowledgeable about everything the store has to offer—from the latest events to exclusive services that only Selfridges can provide.

Based in your designated department, you will:

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Connect with potential clients: Identify opportunities, engage shoppers in your department, and cater to their needs in real-time
  • Deliver beyond sales: Be part of a team focused on customer experience, from stock management, cash handling, and rail organisation to POS data capture and encouraging opt-ins
  • Build and nurture a client base:
    • Proactively develop long-term relationships through personalised updates on new products and experiences
    • Focus on driving OB (Own Brand) brands and division-specific key products
  • Enhance customer journeys: Seamlessly introduce clients to the rest of the store and trusted Brand Partners (you’ll be recognised as their key ambassador)
  • Drive continuous improvement:
    • Manage customer feedback and use it to elevate service, sales, and retail standards
  • Stay ahead of trends:
    • Use natural curiosity to expand product knowledge and benchmark against competitors
    • Become an expert in your division to provide expert guidance
  • Ensure safety and security:
    • Follow health, safety, and security procedures
    • Actively help prevent stock loss

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
