Role Summary
You will play a pivotal role in managing client portfolios post-sale, overseeing a dedicated client base as your first point of contact. Key responsibilities include:
- Building long-term client relationships
- Ensuring seamless service delivery & client satisfaction
- Managing R&D claim preparation, submissions, and recurring support
- Promoting proactive, value-driven client partnerships
This role is designed to separate client development from sales, focusing on long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering trust-based relationships.
- Act as project manager, coordinating internal teams to deliver accurate, on-time R&D claims and reports.
- Proactively engage clients via regular check-ins, updates, and identifying service opportunities (without direct sales pressure).

Client Support & Satisfaction:
- Monitor client satisfaction, resolve issues efficiently, and escalate complex queries to specialists.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and project progress using a CRM system.

Functional Development:
- Contribute to establishing best practices as a pioneering hire in the new account management division.
- Support client retention and growth through exceptional service.

Autonomy & Process Improvements:
- Shape new account management processes in a developing function.
- Drive initiation and execution of best-fit strategies for long-term success.
MinimumRequirements
Progressing in this role requires:

3+ years’ experience as an:
- Account Manager
- Client Manager
- Or equivalent client-facing role in R&D, tax advisory, or professional services.

Proven track record of portfolio management, relationship building, and acting as the key point of contact.

Comfortable with proactive client outreach (phone/email-based), including:
- Regular client communication.
- Non-sales-focused relationship nurturing.

Exceptional organisational skills, capable of:
- Coordinating multiple deliverables.

A full UK driving licence (essential for travel).
