About the Role
The Client Director role focuses on three key dimensions:

Proactive Client Development Expanding existing accounts and leading small-to-medium new business pitches

Consultative Project Direction Ensuring creative and strategic excellence across complex brand portfolios

Commercial & Team Management Managing account profitability, leading revenue forecasting, and line-managing junior colleagues to support their career growth
As a Client Director, you will demonstrate leadership in:
- Trusted Advisor Relationship Building – Proven ability to build mutual trust and conduct intelligent, strategic conversations with Brand/Marketing Managers
- Consultative Brand Problem-Solving – Strong passion for strategic design with intelligence and imagination in addressing complex brand challenges
- Organic Account Development – Proactively identifying and converting new opportunities and workstreams within existing client portfolios
- Resilient Project Direction – Skilled in planning, organising, and directing large-scale projects while staying calm under pressure
- Commercial & Negotiation Acumen – Strong commercial mindset for negotiating budgets intelligently, managing project profitability, and leading revenue forecasting
- Inspirational Team Leadership – Dedicated support with mentorship and fostering a positive group culture to enhance team development
- Compelling Communication & Presentation – Outstanding verbal and written communication, confident in presenting creative work with conviction and rationale
- Collaborative Partnering – Open-minded and flexible cross-team partnerships ensuring high standards in strategy, creative, studio, and production

About You
We’re seeking a candidate who excels in the following areas:
Client Relationship & Business Development
- Build and nurture deep, trusted relationships with day-to-day client contacts and expand the agency’s network of influence
- Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell the agency’s full Brand World capabilities, leading small-to-medium new business initiatives and pitches
Consultative Brand & Project Direction
- Act as a strategic brand consultant (not a reactive supplier), providing expertise to ensure projects meet or exceed client objectives
- Oversee project planning and communication, presenting creative work with clear rationales while championing design and execution excellence

Financial Control & Profitability
- Manage account commercial health, setting financial targets, negotiating budgets, and securing written approvals before work commences
- Drive project profitability by monitoring resource allocation, tracking financial status, and assisting finance teams with weekly forecasts
Team Leadership & Talent Growth
- Provide day-to-day leadership, feedback, and encouragement to the project team, creating a positive collaborative environment
- Line-manage and mentor junior staff, integrating mentorship into daily working practices as part of their career development
This position requires experience working with pharmaceutical/medical clients or related sectors.
