Client Engagement Architect (Technology Advisory)

Principal Engagement Architect

Location

London, UK

About the Role

Principal Engagement Architects at Thoughtworks are the delivery and solution leaders for AI-native advisory engagements. This role combines the responsibilities of an engagement manager, product leader, and systems thinker. You will dictate how high-level strategy translates into working solutions and measurable outcomes.

You sit at the center of the engagement, connecting client intent, business outcomes, and execution reality to break down doors, get engagements started, and set up our delivery teams for success. By balancing strong opinions with high intellectual curiosity and flexibility, you bring integrity to technology, driving innovation at the absolute edge of AI strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of outcomes by translating client goals into clear workstreams, milestones, and outputs, driving the “last mile” from idea to implementation.
  • Structure and drive AI-native advisory engagements, breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into clear, actionable components across team members, AI agents, and client stakeholders.
  • Orchestrate AI-native delivery, designing how AI is used across analysis, scenario modeling, workflow generation, and documentation while effectively managing output quality.
  • Ensure quality and coherence across the engagement, reviewing outputs for logical consistency, business relevance, and technical feasibility to build a cohesive narrative.
  • Interface directly with client delivery leadership (such as CTOs, CIOs, and program leads), translating advisory recommendations into practical execution paths and navigating tradeoffs in real time.
  • Proactively manage risk and execution reality, identifying technical, organizational, or commercial delivery risks early and adjusting the approach to maintain progress.
  • Build reusable delivery patterns, capturing and refining repeatable workflows, engagement models, and decision frameworks to expand our library of AI-native advisory assets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
