What you’ll be doing...

Our customers need solutions to help their businesses run more efficiently and more securely, so that they can achieve their ambitions and goals. This role will involve working within the account management team for a major, large enterprise customer of Verizon Business which is headquartered in the UK. The customer is a major Retailer with operations across the UK, Republic of Ireland and Central Europe. You will primary focus will be on ensuring the delivery of services across the operating footprint of this customer alongside driving incremental growth of the business that we do with them.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and winning new business.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Building an intimate knowledge of the business you are working with, and the market that they operate in.
  • Responding to change requests, and creating compelling business cases to ultimately contract for work.
  • Collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners.
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of services in a dynamic environment.
  • Streamlining processes and effectively leading sales activities.
  • Delivering reports and forecasts.
  • Serving as a consultative client executive to the customer, with a strong knowledge of our portfolio of services, and what our competition is doing.

What we’re looking for...

You’re the type of person who sees the big picture and looks to make the biggest impact possible. You’re comfortable in working with, and presenting to all types of people, and they view you as a trusted advisor. You know how to translate the benefits of technology into easy to understand business language. You have a drive to succeed, and help others around you to be at their best. You know your success depends upon your client’s success. You are highly organized and capable of working at pace.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience of selling technology based solutions to a large enterprise customer.
  • Experience of selling managed network and cyber security services.
  • Experience of leading a cross functional team to win business and deliver services.
  • Willingness to travel as the role requires.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Masters degree, or higher level academic qualification.
  • Experience of working with C-level executives within a multinational business.
  • Experience of selling to clients in the Retail vertical, with a knowledge of how technology is bringing a positive impact to these types of businesses.
  • Experience of selling solutions delivered across multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and cyber security technology and concepts.
  • Experience of creating and following strategic account plans.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • The proven ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and opportunities under tight time frames.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
