Client Manager - Energy & Utilities
Some account management roles are about keeping clients happy; this one is about becoming a trusted adviser. Consultus International is a multi-award-winning consultancy in the fast-growing sustainability and energy management sector, working with some of the most iconic brands in the world. We’re looking for a talented account manager, with a focus on world-class customer service and consultative solutions, to manage a portfolio of clients and contribute to their Net Zero journey. You don't need to be an expert in energy or sustainability on day one; what matters is curiosity, a genuine desire to learn, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes. We'll help you develop the industry knowledge - you bring the relationship-building skills. What We’re Looking For: You will manage approximately 40 mid-market accounts, acting as the key point of contact between your clients and our internal teams. You’ll need to excel at consultative conversations, build long-lasting client relationships, and hold internal stakeholders accountable to ensure client needs are met. You’ll also be proactive in staying curious and learning everything about this complex industry, helping to guide your clients with insights that add value to their business. Key Responsibilities: Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality, consultative service and retention Engage with clients to understand their needs, offering tailored solutions and context on industry challenges Hold internal teams accountable to meet client expectations Maintain strong, proactive communication and work cross-functionally to ensure smooth delivery Stay up-to-date with industry trends, continually developing your knowledge What You’ll Bring: Previous account management experience and a proven track record in managing your own portfolio of medium to large enterprise clients Demonstrable experience exceeding client expectations, providing a world-class customer service and driving client retention Strong ability to hold consultative conversations with clients Empathy, with the ability to hold difficult conversations to achieve a desired outcome Self-awareness, with an inquisitive, ‘learn-it all’ mindset A passion for self-development and continuous improvement A genuine interest in sustainability and energy management Why Us? Competitive salary (£28,000 - £31,500 DOE) - £28,000 for those new to the industry with clear progression pathways.
