Job Description: Client Partner | dentsu X | London | Permanent | Hybrid

Overview

Oversee the Generali global media account, transforming a complex multi-market partnership into a more joined-up, strategic and future-ready model.

About dentsu X

dentsu X is a digital-first media agency built to deliver Experience Beyond. We redefine the boundaries of media, creativity, and technology to craft integrated experiences that captivate audiences and drive meaningful growth for our clients. Fuelled by creativity, shaped through collaboration, and designed for impact. Experience Beyond is more than a belief, it's our commitment to delivering innovative thinking, trusted partnerships, and measurable results that move businesses forward.

Purpose of the Role

We’re looking for a Client Partner to help oversee the Generali global media account for dentsu X. This is a high-profile global client role, working across 26 markets with a strong focus in Europe and growing presence in Asia. You’ll act as the most senior dedicated person on the account, partnering closely with the Global Client Director and managing the central team to deliver the day-to-day client remit while also spotting opportunities for growth, innovation and transformation. Generali’s global client stakeholders and the core dentsu X team are based in Milan, so building strong relationships across locations will be essential.

What you'll do

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the global media account, ensuring client requirements, scope of work and priorities are clear, well managed and delivered to a high standard.
  • Manage a small, talented central team across account coordination, strategy and digital innovation, balancing high performance with strong people management.
  • Help define, activate and scale the global commercial and operating model, creating clarity where there is ambiguity and turning strategy into executable frameworks.
  • Align global and local teams around common priorities, outputs and standards, moving the account from decentralised execution towards more joined-up, scalable systems.
  • Build strong senior relationships with global stakeholders, helping shape global media strategy, elevate key outputs and constructively push for better outcomes.
  • Identify where innovation can drive real business value across data, AI, media product and customer experience, building a repeatable pipeline that scales successful ideas across markets and contributes to commercial growth.

How you'll succeed

  • A clearly defined and widely adopted operating approach replaces fragmented, market-by-market execution across the account.
  • Strategic output is elevated and more consistent across regions, with markets demonstrating a stronger standard of thinking and a clearer link to business impact.
  • Innovation is embedded into the core of planning and activation, shaping the approach rather than sitting on the edges of the account.
  • Global and local teams are aligned around common priorities, consistent ways of working and clear accountability.
  • The partnership delivers tangible commercial outcomes, with measurable growth opportunities and expanded scope.
  • Dentsu X continues to be recognised as a best-in-class partner, known for strong strategic direction, innovation and delivery across a complex global account.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll bring

  • Significant experience managing complex, multi-market or global clients, ideally within a media agency or closely related environment.
  • Strong media experience across modern media ecosystems, including digital, data and offline channels.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, prioritise effectively and develop people in a fast-moving, high-expectation account environment.
  • Experience transforming ways of working, not just managing them, with the ability to create structure, clarity and momentum.
  • Experience conducting strategic discussions with senior clients, building strong working relationships and setting high standards across planning, outputs and market delivery.
  • Experience identifying and developing growth opportunities, creating clarity in complex situations and balancing central direction with local market nuance to achieve commercial outcomes.
  • Fluency in Italian is highly desirable, but not mandatory. This role requires close coordination with key Italian stakeholders and the ability and willingness to travel to Milan.

What we offer

  • This is a permanent role.
  • The team work from our London-based office on a hybrid basis.
  • This role requires travel to Milan.
  • At dentsu, we've built a benefits package that supports every chapter of your life. From company-funded Private Medical Insurance, a 24/7 Virtual GP and a generous sick-pay policy, to wellbeing days, volunteering time, flexible bank-holiday swaps and great everyday perks like retail discounts, gym access and tech schemes — we make it easier to live well, not just work well.
  • Our employee-led resource groups have helped shape policies that genuinely matter: enhanced maternity, paternity and carers leave, extended sick leave, menopause and baby-loss support, plus 10 fertility treatment days.
  • Combined with life assurance, income protection, financial education tools and flexible savings options, you'll find a workplace that invests in you — your health, your family, your future.
