Client Partner Team Leader

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hrs/week) Location: Hybrid, split between home and Bristol/Exeter

Founded in 2007, First Intuition (FI) is an award-winning, UK-based provider of accountancy training and apprenticeships, with recent expansion into financial, leadership and digital sector qualifications. Success is built on a training approach rooted in client and learner needs, blending innovative course design with personalised, situation-specific interaction. By collaborating closely with businesses to tailor solutions, FI takes a hands-on, evidence-based approach to education.

This Client Partner Team Leader role ensures the smooth and effective delivery of apprenticeship and non-apprenticeship programmes, managing the Client Partner team and supporting broader business objectives in partnership with FI South Ltd.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Account Management

  • Lead and manage the Client Partner team, including:
    • Allocation of high-value client accounts
    • Prioritising and covering leave periods
  • Oversee the strategic use of HubSpot CRM across the South West region, ensuring adherence to best practice across teams and management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align processes with organisational goals.

Client Onboarding & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain robust onboarding plans for new client cohorts, ensuring all sign-ups are completed and confirmed at agreed pricing no later than 10 working days before the First Day of Learning.
  • Work with the Compliance Team to:
    • Forecast and manage workload effectively
    • Reduce audit errors through rigorous data accuracy.
  • Offer weekly onboarding progress reports to management, accompanied by key milestone tracking alongside Compliance.

Team Coordination & Operational Excellence

  • Facilitate and lead:
    • Huddles and Weekly Team Meetings
    • Monitoring of the sign-up dashboard
    • Resolution of ‘red flags’ within the teams.
  • Support learner progression from Level 3 to Level 4, incorporating client feedback from review meetings and tailored communication.

Broader Initiatives

  • Contribute to and lead relevant FI Group projects aligned with business priorities.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lists, Forms).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of written communication.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating:
    • Effective stakeholder engagement
    • Strong confidence and professionalism
  • Robust organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Influence team compliance with deadlines, taking responsibility where required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to change and remain calm, focused, and organised under pressure.

Desirable Experience

  • Hands-on experience with client management and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with apprenticeship standards/programmes.
  • Background in the accountancy or finance sector.
