Client Project Manager

Client Project Manager – Pensions (Lead Role)

Pensions Project Management Team, based within the Actuarial & Consulting service line.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Client Project Manager with deep expertise in the pensions industry. You will lead complex, strategic client projects, engage with senior stakeholders across our business, and drive outcomes in a high-profile consulting role.

You’ll take the lead as Client Project Manager on bespoke client-facing engagements—including GMP equality projects (collaborating with the GMPe Programme Director), pension administration data transformation, and insurance transactions (e.g., buy-ins/buy-outs).

Your responsibility spans project life-cycle ownership to capability development, including:

  • Influencing strategy
  • Mentoring team members
  • Representing Isio at senior forums
  • Contributing to the firm’s evolving project management methodologies

Responsibilities

Core Client & Project Leadership

  • Drive, define and execute project strategy, planning, and delivery for multi-client engagements (concurrent projects).
  • Manage stakeholder relationship for strategic decision-making, including client interaction and internal leadership settlement.
  • Own project governance: progress reporting, risk management, and WIP/financial oversight (fees, budget tracking).
  • Champion project conclusions, while ensuring lessons learned feed back into firm-wide best practices.

Stakeholder & Business Development

  • Build representation for Isio in client pitches, RFPs, and RFIs—actively influencing proposals to secure future engagements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to propose data-driven Solutions (e.g., administration digitisation) on behalf of the business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on pensions investment, operational and insurance transaction risks/opportunities.

People & Process Leadership

  • Develop and mentor junior project managers, driving a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Foster effective team communication, delivering clear feedback and supporting consultant/career progression.
  • Support resource planning for the central programme team, ensuring optimal allocation across active projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
