Client Project Manager

Client Project Manager – Pensions

Actuarial & Consulting Service Line

As an experienced Client Project Manager you will lead high-impact projects in the pensions industry, responding to client needs with strategic expertise. In this senior role, you’ll guide intricate client engagements while shaping best practices in project management and supporting business growth.

About the Role

The Pensions Project Management Team, based within our Actuarial & Consulting service line, expects you to:

  • Lead strategic client projects in collaboration with senior leaders across national service lines.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to high-level stakeholders and senior teams.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle—from strategy definition and planning to execution, progress reporting, control, and close-out.
  • Develop project management frameworks while mentoring junior team members and supporting capability growth.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for data transformation prerequisites, insurance transactions (such as buy-ins & buy-outs), and GMP(e) projects.

Key Responsibilities

Client Projects & Strategy

  • Craft and implement client-specific project strategy, ensuring alignment with firm and sector priorities.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing timelines, budgets, performance risks, and deliverables.
  • Provide senior/final sign-off reports to key stakeholders across all project phases.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior clients, internal teams, and leadership (nationally).
  • Influence decision-making through strategic insights and clear, persuasive communication.
  • Engage in business development opportunities, including pitches and proposal preparation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
