Client Project Manager
Client Project Manager - Pensions Industry (Firm-Wide Role)
Meet our growing Projects team within Actuarial & Consulting, where you’ll lead high-profile client projects, mentor colleagues, and shape proposition development in a dynamic, purpose-driven organization.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Client Project Manager with deep expertise in pensions to:
- Lead strategic, complex client projects across nationwide teams
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
- Drive proposition evolution, ensuring market alignment
- Champion best practices in project governance
Key Accounts of Focus
Your immediate priorities will include:
- GMPe programmes (collaborating closely with the GMPe Programme Director)
- Data transformation (partnering with Isio’s Pension Administration and Operational Solutions)
- Insurance transactions (buy-ins, buy-outs)
Responsibilities
Your core areas of responsibility will encompass:
1. Client Projects & Strategy
- Define and manage the full project lifecycle (planning, stakeholder engagement, delivery, closure)
- Lead multiple high-value client engagements simultaneously
- Oversee financials: WIP management, fees/invoices, and budget control

2. Stakeholder & Team Management
- Build trusted relationships with 客EEEEEEEEee and internal leadership
- Influence decision-making and represent Isio at senior client forums
- Foster a high-performance culture, offering mentorship to junior team members
- Lead Business Development opportunities, including pitches, RFPs, and proposals
3. Business Capability Growth
- Develop proposition frameworks aligned with market needs and strategic priorities
- Champion best practices in project management and contribute to methodology improvement
Requirements
Expertise & Experience
- Pensions specialist with a track record of leading complex, high-value projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel engagements at a senior level
- Strong stakeholder influence and cross-functional leadership
- Proven financial acumen (budget management, billing, WIP reporting)
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in: Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project) + project management tools
- Confident presentation and communication for senior forums
Soft Skills & Mindset
- Ability to work autonomously while empowered by colleagues
- Alignment with Isio’s Attitude: bold, purposeful, and results-driven

Preferred Qualifications
- APM Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) or PMQ (rather than Delivery Proficiency) is advantageous
