A bit about the role

We are looking for an organised, delivery focused Client Relations Manager to support the sponsor journey from proposal stage through to delivery and post-event reporting, for Mining Indaba sponsors.

The role will work in close partnership with Sales leads, joining proposal calls where required to understand client objectives, shape deliverables, and ensure commitments are operationally feasible. Post sale the Client Relations Manager will support the transition into onboarding, manage sponsor deliverables end-to-end, and ensure a high-quality onsite and post-event client experience.

As part of your job, you’ll be:

Pre-Sale Support & Handover

  • Join proposal calls where required to understand sponsor objectives and assist sales with bespoke proposal packages.
  • Support Sales by advising on delivery feasibility, timelines and required assets.
  • Contribute to proposals by ensuring deliverables are clear, accurate, and achievable.
  • Manage a smooth handover from Sales into onboarding once contracts are confirmed.

Account Management & Sponsor Delivery (Post-Sale)

  • Act as the main point of contact for allocated sponsors post contract signature.
  • Lead onboarding and manage the sponsor delivery process end-to-end across the event cycle.
  • Own deliverable collection and chasing (logos, artwork, adverts, speaker details, digital assets, approvals).
  • Maintain accurate trackers and keep internal stakeholders updated on status, risks and dependencies.
  • Escalate risks early and drive solutions to protect sponsor commitments.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate delivery across Marketing, Content, Operations and Design to ensure all sponsor benefits are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Brief internal teams on requirements, specifications and deadlines.
  • Ensure sponsor visibility and positioning is correct across platforms (website, agenda, app where applicable).

Event Delivery & Post-Event

  • Onsite support to ensure sponsor commitments and experience are delivered to standard.
  • Lead post-event reporting for allocated clients and distribute agreed communications.
  • Support Sales with renewal planning and identifying future opportunities based on delivery outcomes.

Ad Hoc Projects

  • Support ad hoc projects related to the event and allocated clients as required.

Experience with Website/CMS, CRM, Monday.com, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).
