Sonata One is a rapidly scaling, regulated fund services and technology (fintech) business. We're The Private Funds Clearinghouse, connecting more than 53,000 investors with 6,500 funds and 180 fund managers around the globe. Our vision is to change the paradigm of private markets investing through harmonising the end-to-end investment process within one platform.
Investors benefit from a seamless experience across the fund lifecycle (from fund selection and subscription through to settlement and reporting), underpinned by a globally compliant KYC passport and 24/5 support. Fund managers can raise capital faster at a lower cost from a wider pool of pre-approved investors.
Founded in 2015, Sonata One has a presence in eight locations worldwide, including the US, UK and Luxembourg, Guernsey, South Africa, and Mauritius.

We are now looking to recruit an experienced Client Relationship Manager to join our global team.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director – Global Growth, the Client Relationship Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing and growing relationships with Sonata One’s existing clients
- Ensuring they maximise value from our platform
- Identifying opportunities to expand commercial relationships
This is a revenue-generating role focused on client growth, retention, and strategic relationship management. You’ll work closely with New Business, Partnerships, and Product teams while developing trusted partnerships with:
- Key stakeholders across fund managers
- Institutional investors
- Other organisations within the private markets ecosystem

Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients, becoming their trusted commercial advisor
- Serve as the primary contact for client portfolios, ensuring an exceptional client experience
- Understand each client’s business objectives and identify enhanced value opportunities from the Sonata One platform
- Conduct regular account reviews and strategic planning sessions
- Collaborate with internal operational and product teams to ensure seamless client experience
Commercial Growth
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts via cross-selling and upselling Sonata One’s products and services
- Partner with New Business and Partnerships teams to maximise commercial opportunities
- Develop long-term growth plans for account expansion and client retention
- Support achievement of commercial revenue targets through stronger relationships
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration
- Build and nurture relationships with senior stakeholders (fund managers, administrators, partners)
- Collaborate with Marketing on client engagement initiatives, including industry events and networking opportunities
- Represent Sonata One professionally at industry meetings and conferences
- Share market insights and client feedback to support product development and strategy
Performance & Account Management
- Monitor health, client engagement, and commercial performance across assigned portfolios
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and account plans
- Proactively address risks to client retention with mitigation plans
- Use data and client insights to continuously improve account performance
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on developments in private markets, fintech, and regulatory changes
- Contribute ideas to enhance client experience and commercial effectiveness
- Support strategic objectives of the Commercial Development team

Qualifications
Core Requirements:
- Proven experience in Client Relationship Management, Strategic Account Management or Customer Success, preferably within fintech, financial services, SaaS, or private markets
- Strong commercial mindset with expertise in growing accounts
- Ability to manage multiple strategic relationships simultaneously and engage with enterprise clients and senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Prior experience in private markets, fund administration, asset management, or financial technology (advantageous)
- CRM platform experience (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields
