Client Business Associate, Client Reporting

Our client, a global investment management firm known for its contrarian, long-term investment philosophy, is looking for a curious and analytical individual to join their Client Reporting team. This is a permanent role based in Central London.

About the Team

The Client Reporting team supports institutional client and consultant relationships by delivering recurring and ad-hoc reporting, analysis, due diligence materials, and data, while supporting Client Managers in ongoing prospecting and servicing efforts. The team builds long-term partnerships with clients who share the firm's values, developing in-depth knowledge of the business, its strategies, and investment approach in order to communicate complex information clearly and in the right context for each audience.

The team supports a global client base, with members based across multiple international locations, and is expected to have a direct impact on institutional client acquisition and retention through exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse, review, and maintain client reporting materials covering performance, risk measures, portfolio exposures, and fees, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Own reporting calculations and methodologies; document data sources, processes, and controls; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyse large, complex datasets using internal systems to respond to client and internal requests
  • Contribute to and progressively take ownership of cross-regional projects refining client reporting processes
  • Partner with technology and operations teams to design and implement improvements to reporting workflows and automation
  • Prepare client materials including presentations, due diligence questionnaires, and RFP/RFI/DDQ submissions
  • Build strong working relationships across investment, client, operations, legal, compliance, and technology teams

About You

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; able to distil complex matters into clear conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor detail and context to different audiences
  • A self-starter who thinks independently and is comfortable respectfully challenging assumptions
  • Growth mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working with data and systems, with an interest in developing technical proficiency
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills; able to manage recurring deadlines and unplanned requests in a global environment
  • Intellectually curious, with a genuine desire to understand the "why" behind the work

Qualifications & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic record
  • 3-6 years' professional experience in client reporting, investment operations, performance measurement, data analysis, consulting, audit, or a related area of financial services
  • CFA, CPA, CIPM, or progress toward a comparable designation is an asset but not required
