Client Service Executive
Division: Wealth Management Propositions & Client Care Location: Exeter Contract: Permanent Working pattern: Hybrid
About the Role
Client-facing role with responsibility for service and relationship management. Act as the lead contact for all Client Lifecycle tasks and queries. Manage all client lifecycle processes, oversee the operating model for their respective investment management team, and deliver excellent client service. Work within a centrally managed but locally embedded model.
Responsibilities
Client Relations & Accountability
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and business stakeholders, leveraging knowledge of the business and client needs to achieve desired outcomes.
- Take full ownership and accountability for all client administration tasks, acting as the primary liaison between clients, investment teams, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
- Ensure process adherence, including managing account opening, onboarding, and transfers, processing payments and account amendments, and supporting quarterly portfolio valuations.

Process Management & Compliance
- Follow group-wide processes and ensure compliance with KPI benchmarks, escalating any process improvement suggestions.
- Understand and support client suitability requirements, gathering necessary information and producing client summaries, welcome letters, and suitability documentation.
- Lead complex client lifecycle processes, including estate, deceased/probate cases.
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of Client Lifecycle processes and Rathbones Products & Services.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the administration team and operational functions to share and develop best practices.
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, handling administration queries and leading client meetings/discussions.
- Drive excellence in client experience through proactive and efficient management of all lifecycle stages.

Requirements
Essential
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the business operates.
- Broad understanding of Rathbones’ Product and Service Proposition.
- Progression pathway from a Client Service Assistant (CSA) role or equivalent experience.
Desirable
- Experience in a Financial Services role managing end-to-end client life cycle administration.
- Client-facing experience in a professional setting.
- Holding the Investment Operations Certificate.
- GCSE-grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
