The Role

The Client Services Assistant is responsible for the efficient management of both inbound and outbound mail. This role ensures that all post is processed promptly, aligning with the company’s values and standards of excellence.

Location: 1 City Square, Leeds, West Yorkshire - ON SITE

Role: Fixed Term Contract 12 months

Salary: £26,200


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages through appropriate systems and to the correct teams.
  • Manage outgoing mail, ensuring it is correctly labelled, packaged, and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all mail transactions for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Ensure the mail room is organised and stocked with necessary supplies, such as envelopes, stamps, collateral, and packaging materials.
  • Address and resolve mail-related issues, including returned, undeliverable, or misdirected mail.
  • Collaborate with courier services for the dispatch and receipt of urgent or special deliveries.
  • Uphold the company’s confidentiality standards by securely handling sensitive documents and communications.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a mailroom or similar environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using mailroom equipment and basic office software.
  • Experience in a customer service or administrative role is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of best practices in mail handling and distribution.
