Client Services Director

We’re partnering with an ambitious and growing specialist marketing agency that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering strategic marketing solutions to clients across a range of highly technical sectors. With an impressive portfolio of long-standing clients and an exciting growth strategy, the business continues to invest heavily in its people, leadership team and future capabilities.

It is an excellent opportunity to join the agency at a pivotal stage of its growth, taking ownership of the Client Services function and playing a key role in shaping the future direction of the business. Sitting as part of the senior leadership team, you'll lead a high-performing client services department, helping to drive commercial growth, strengthen key client relationship and develop the next generation of account management talent.

We're ideally looking for an experienced Client Services Director or senior Client Services leader with a strong background within a B2B marketing agency environment. You'll have experience managing and developing client services teams, building strategic relationships with senior stakeholders and driving commercial performance across major accounts. Equally important is the ambition to influence wider business strategy and contribute beyond your own function.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Managing Directors and working closely with the wider leadership team, you'll take ownership of the agency's Client Services function, ensuring the continued growth, retention and profitability of key client accounts whilst developing and mentoring a team of client services professionals across multiple levels of seniority.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a highly strategic leadership role rather than a hands-on account management position. You'll provide senior oversight across the agency's largest client relationships, supporting long-term account growth, identifying commercial opportunities and ensuring clients continue to view the agency as a trusted strategic partner.

Alongside leading the client services team, you'll oversee client development planning, monitor account performance and act as the senior escalation point for both opportunities and challenges. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to improve ways of working, champion the adoption of AI and emerging technologies and help shape the agency's long-term growth strategy.

Success in this role will be measured through strong client retention, continued account growth, high-performing client services teams and your contribution to the wider success and future direction of the agency.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience within a senior Client Services leadership role, ideally within a B2B marketing agency
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing client services or account management teams across multiple levels of seniority
  • Proven ability to build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite decision makers
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience driving account growth, profitability and client retention
  • Experience developing strategic client growth plans and identifying new commercial opportunities
  • Comfortable operating as part of a senior leadership team, contributing to wider business strategy and decision making
  • Experience working with clients within sectors such as technology, cybersecurity, financial services or other complex B2B markets would be advantageous
  • Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
  • A proactive, commercially focused and strategic mindset with an interest in innovation and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies within agency or client services environments would be beneficial
