Client Services Officer (Private Banking)

💸Up to £48,000 plus excellent bonus and benefits

🏠Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days WFH)

⭐Candidates will have experience within private banking, and will have had client-facing experience with HNW individuals

Due to exciting business growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious private bank in the heart of London, renowned for delivering a highly personal, relationship-led service to high-net-worth individuals. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a Client Services Officer to join an established team, supporting one to two Private Bankers in the management of their client portfolios.

This is a varied, client-facing role at the very heart of the banking team. You will take ownership of the day-to-day running of client accounts, working hand-in-hand with the Private Bankers to deliver the seamless service their clients expect. With a high level of client contact by phone, email and in person, this is an ideal position for someone who thrives on building relationships and is keen to develop their career within private banking.

Key Responsibilities of the Client Services Officer to include:

  • Client Relationship Support: build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular contact by phone, email and in person, delivering exceptional levels of service.
  • Daily Account Management: manage daily excess, prepare and review reports, and oversee the day-to-day administration of client accounts.
  • Payments & Transfers: process payments, transfers of funds and foreign exchange requirements accurately and within deadlines.
  • Onboarding & Compliance: support the onboarding of new clients, completing KYC, CDD and AML checks across a variety of client types and maintaining accurate records in line with the bank’s procedures and data protection requirements.
  • Lending Support: assist with the preparation of internal credit applications and the ongoing monitoring of existing borrowings in accordance with the bank’s credit policies and procedures.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: work closely with the Private Bankers and colleagues across Credit Risk, Client Operations, Financial Crime and other departments to meet the bank’s objectives.
  • Wider Contribution: support ad-hoc business projects as required, including new product launches, and complete all mandatory training in a timely manner.

Requirements for the successful Client Services Officer:

  • Candidates will ideally have private banking experience, with a track record of client-facing work alongside high-net-worth individuals.
  • Preferably educated to UK degree level or equivalent, with a desire to develop a career within a progressive private bank.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine commitment to excellent client service and teamwork.
  • A sound understanding of how a bank operates and its commercial environment, including awareness of KYC, AML and the wider regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with effective questioning and listening skills.
  • Qualifications such as CeMap advantageous (though not essential)
