Client Services Team Leader
The Client Services Team Leader is responsible for managing a client-facing pensions team, ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality, compliant services to SSAS and related scheme clients. The role combines team leadership, operational oversight, and client service excellence, with accountability for performance, productivity, and regulatory adherence.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential to extend. The role can be based in our Leeds or Liverpool office working on a hybrid basis.
A Snapshot of Your Day
- Manage a team of up to 12 people, including handling personal team requirements (such as approving holidays, flexible working hours requests, return to work discussions, managing excessive sickness and/or long-term health issues, and performance management).
- Ensure that team members are performing effectively. Identify Skills Gaps and schedule coaching and training in line with documented procedures.
- Hold regular work planning meetings throughout the week and monthly team review meetings to support the SSAS Management Committee in managing change to ensure the team adapts to process and policy changes effectively.
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the team’s workload and service standard, escalating any issues to the SSAS Management Committee; to provide management information relating to same; to input into the recruitment process.
- Hold monthly one-to-ones, mid-year, and annual reviews; to agree annual personal development plans and provide constructive feedback to further these aims.

We Would Love to Hear from You If You Have
- Experience as a Team Leader for a Pensions and/or Finance Services company is essential.
- Knowledge of the following pension vehicles is desirable but not essential: SSASs, SIPPs, and FURBS.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is desirable, strong IT skills essential.
- Proven track record of leading a dedicated team is essential.
- GCSE Maths/English at Grade C/5 or National 5 Maths/English at Grade C or Equivalent is essential.
