About the Role
Shape the Future of Iconic Hospitality Spaces
A market-leading hospitality and leisure group is seeking an experienced Senior Area Surveyor to join its high-performing Property Estates team. You’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of 60–75 premium pubs and hotels, taking full ownership of maintenance, investment, and refurbishment projects—ranging from essential repairs to complex redevelopments exceeding £2m.
This is a field-based, autonomous role covering London and the Southern Home Counties. Collaboration with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and contractors will ensure sites remain safe, compliant, and operationally excellent.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, assess building conditions, and prepare detailed reports
- Plan, budget, and manage reactive maintenance and pre-planned investment projects
- Lead project delivery from tendering through to completion (across projects up to ÂŁ2m+)
- Ensure full legal, statutory, and health & safety compliance across all properties
- Work closely with operations, design, compliance, and development teams
- Provide expert advice on planning, listed buildings, party walls, and statutory consents
Key Requirements
- RICS-qualified (or lifetime equivalent) with experience in retail, leisure, or hospitality property
- Strong technical knowledge of building services and trade kitchens (preferably including experience with listed buildings)
- Proven commercial awareness and project delivery capability
- A self-starter with exceptional communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence + flexibility to travel within the designated region
