Director of Client Success & Operations (Early Growth Stage)

About United Media

United Media focuses on building scalable industry media and conference products across sectors like insurance, HR, private equity, and retail. Currently, we’ve organically launched eight media brands and acquired one:

Context for the Role

You’ll shape and execute United Media’s client success strategy, collaborate with high-performing teams, and drive tangible business impact. This growth-focused role allows you to:

  • Lead a high-performing team
  • Dictate strategic direction across client success and operations
  • Influence scalable expansion at a pivotal early-stage growth moment

reporting directly to the Founder / CEO, this newly created position will scale client success and operations while influencing all aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Manage, grow, and mentor the client success team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative environment.
  • Set clear goals, evaluate performance, and define expectations.
  • Cultivate strong team culture to support global scaling and international expansion.

Customer-Centric Growth

  • Prioritise client success as the core driver of exponential business growth.
  • Develop end-to-end user journeys with a product-led approach.

Process Optimisation

  • Build and harmonise cross-departmental processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement best-in-class operations and scaling strategies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (client success, operations, or similar).
  • Strong project management and process creation skills with proven ability to prioritise key priorities.
  • Track record of scaling Teams in client success, operations, international expansion, or sales within a fast-growing startup.
  • Experience in client success/business operations, preferably in a scaling business.
  • Strong analytical skills and technical fluency (tools like CRM, analytics platforms).
  • Commercial acumen with a proven ability to automate processes for scalability.
  • Exceptional people skills: ability to coach, mentor, and lead with a focus on culture-building and high performance.
  • Demonstrated track record in expanding client success functions and growing revenue via customer-focused operations.
