The Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Climate and National Park Strategy Officer to contribute to our strategic plan making and performance function, with a strong focus on collaboration, relationship management and partnership working.

You will contribute to the development, delivery and monitoring of the National Park Management Plan and Authority Plan, helping ensure they are evidence-based, aligned with national policy, and shaped through meaningful engagement with partners. The team’s focus in the next couple of years is developing the next National Park Management Plan with a wide and complex range of external partners.

You will also play a role in coordinating the Authority’s response to climate change. This includes working to ensure the new Management Plan incorporates clear and deliverable climate adaptation measures, and that climate resilience is embedded across decision-making, plans and strategies—both within the Authority and in partnership with stakeholders.

About You

You need to have the following:

  • Education to degree-level or equivalent in an appropriate environment-based subject (geography, sustainability, environmental studies/science/management)
  • Experience in policy or strategy and working with internal and external partners
  • Ability to research, assimilate, analyse and make recommendations on complex information in a way that is relevant to the audience
  • Experience in relevant research, data collection and manipulation, and analysis

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
