Clinical Administrator – North Northamptonshire (Full-Time, Fixed Term, 12 Months)

Location: North Northamptonshire Hours: Full-Time: 37.5 hours per week (35 paid + 2.5 Wellness Hour) Contract: Fixed Term (12 months) Salary: £26,296.03

We’re looking for an **organised and proactive Clinical Administrator to join our North Northamptonshire service. This is an exciting opportunity to support prescribing services, work closely with clinicians, pharmacies, and teams, and help maintain high standards of clinical administration and governance.

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in an administrative, healthcare, clinical, or data-focused environment.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly confidence using Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel).
  • Experience maintaining databases, information systems, or case management tools.
  • The ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, information governance, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Willingness to travel across North Northamptonshire and work from different locations as needed.

  • Prior experience supporting prescribing services, healthcare administration, or substance misuse services (not essential, but advantageous).

About the Role

As Clinical Administrator, you’ll be central to our prescribing administration function, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant prescribing processes.

You’ll collaborate with:

  • Frontline workers
  • Team leaders & managers
  • Clinicians
  • External pharmacies

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining robust prescribing systems.
  • Supporting clinical governance compliance.
  • Ensuring accurate, timely prescription processing.

You’ll also become a subject matter expert in our case management and reporting systems, providing training and supporting data integrity to improve service outcomes.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support prescribing services: Ensuring safe and timely administration of scripts.
  • Manage prescribing documentation (FP10 workflows) and records.
  • Work with pharmacies & clinical teams to streamline processes.
  • Maintain accurate records in databases and clinical systems.
  • Generate reports to support governance and service performance.
  • Train colleagues on system use and data processes.
  • Support data quality, compliance, and information governance.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting & administrative functions.
