Clinical Deputy Manager

Location: Ashley Park Care Home, The Street, West Clandon, Guildford GU4 7SU Salary: Up to £58,269 per annum (depending on experience) Contract: Permanent – 42 hours per week Flexibility: x1 & ½ shift per week on-site (18 hours), remaining hours supernumerary Days: Monday to Friday Occasional: Night visits or weekend work may be required Bonus: Welcome bonus – £2000*

Here at Bupa, we are dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice—helping our residents live their best lives. As the Clinical Deputy Manager, you’ll work alongside your Clinical Manager to deliver high-quality care and ensure exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist in all aspects of nursing care and activities within the care home
  • Collaborate with your team to create and update individual care plans
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date medication records
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels through efficient management of rotas
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to your team while promoting residents’ independence, choice, and dignity
  • Build lasting relationships with residents, their families, and the wider care community
  • Develop strong relationships with local partners to enhance the care home’s profile and collaborative impact

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN
  • Commitment to adhering to the NMC Code of Conduct and professional development
  • Up-to-date knowledge of:
    • Tissue viability
    • Infection control protocols
    • Care planning methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills for building trust and working with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Natural leadership ability to:
    • Mentor and lead a team
    • Delegate effectively
    • Foster excellent customer service and relationships
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • A respectful, compassionate, and collaborative team player
  • Belief in giving your personal best in every interaction
